About Harvested (2021)
Most importantly, as a horror film from Ali West Ashe, a black filmmaker, that’s lead by black actors, with a black monster, the film has drawn comparisons to Candyman (2021). Although Harvested premiered months after Candyman (2021), it was written and conceptualized in 2019.The Watts Monster,Jimmy Bones and Candyman now have a new successor… His Name is Harold Rice aka The Harvest Monster!
With an indie all-star cast that includes Elester Latham, Ariel Brown, Dean Wil, Miranda Kathleen, Gregor Haley, original music fromCazo Cas, Judell Rome and Clint.D, and SFX creature concept design by Veniesa Dillon the cult classic franchise is definitely one for the culture.
In the same vein, we plan to make it a franchise that spans across decades like Halloween, Friday the 13th and Freddy. As a result of its success, Harvested and Harvested 2 are the top titles on Culture Forward TV, Harvested 3 will be released on 11.25.24 and Harvested 4 is in development.

What is Harvested 2?
A group of influencers travel to Hayfork, California on Thanksgiving Day to get footage of the Harvest Monster aka Harold Rice. As a result of chasing fame, fortune and likes, they soon come face to face with the urban legend who owns the night. Although the plot is based on modern social media relevancy, the film also has qualities from horror films of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s as well as 90’s slasher vibes.

Harvested 3 is returning to reclaim Thanksgiving horror… 11.25.24
The Thanksgiving Horror Trilogy follows Detective Axel Edwards (Alex West) as he investigates a series of murders on Thanksgiving night.
Cortney Elise, Dean Wil, Elester Latham and Gregor Haley are returning to the trilogy while Watts Homie Quan (Tyquan Givens) and Writer-Director Alex West will make their franchise debuts. Other cast members include, Tatiana Amaro, Desiree Gillespie and Chanelle Mistretta, who will be making their first steaming appearances.

Director’s Statement
I wrote Harvested in 2019 and right away I submitted it to several screenplay festivals and fellowships. Not only did it NOT get selected but it didn’t even place in the top 400 in one of the larger fellowships.
I shared it with my associates and many of them were floored by the originality and creativity. Therefore, I knew that I had a great film on my hands so I filmed it with my own money and the rest is history. I still receive a ton of ridicule and negative criticism but I don’t give a sh*t. In conclusion. I’m committed to making a Harvested film every year for the next 5 years. If it doesn’t blow up by then- Then I guess the doubters and critics were right. We’ll see, in the long run.
